No humble pie for me......just

Well my two predictions were right, but only just! Venus was not a surprise, but the closeness of the mens final certainly was. After my criticisms of Federer in the last blog entry maybe I owe him an apology. Well, not exactly. Really if Nadal had not choked on the two match points in the third set it would have been a routine straight sets victory.Seeing Nadal choke was the biggest, and maybe only surprise of the Wimbledon fortnight.

So has the order at the top of the game changed? Is Federer finished? Well not exactly but he's looking abit punch-drunk and Nadal clearly has his number. Problem for Nadal is his knees and the strain such an extreme game must put on his body and mind. I think Federer will probably win a grand slam or two more, but never the French. Best of all time?
