About me

I have been involved in education for most of my career. In the early 1980s I obtained an honours degree in physics and astronomy. This was immediately followed by an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in astronomy and several years of scientific research at the University of London. It was during this time that I first taught physics and maths (to undergraduate students) and spent time supervising and mentoring postgraduate students. This was followed by several years in industry and a short period as a science teacher at a local secondary school. I have since offered personal tuition in maths and physics to a small number of students and now also work in website design and development for a small company I run in partnership with a professional graphic artist - VerulamIT.
